The LDI tradeshow has played a big part in ETC’s history, being the site of countless product launches that have propelled the company forward. In a nod to that tradition, ETC will mark its 40th anniversary at this year’s LDI show by introducing a host of new products and giving attendees sneak peeks at upcoming gear. With so much to celebrate, ETC will have three stands – 2773, 2872 and 2972 – and a demo room – N115 – at the show, October 21st through 23rd, in Las Vegas.

ColorSource Consoles

Among the products making their first appearance at LDI will be the Source 4WRD™retrofit, which transforms full-sized conventional Source Four® fixtures into LED luminaires. ETC will also show the full ColorSource™ family, including the ColorSource and ColorSource AV lighting-control desks and the brand-new ColorSource® Linear striplight. LDI show attendees can get demos of the Irideon™ FPZ architectural luminaire, the GDS CueSystem cue light system, and the Prodigy® P75 Self Climber hoist. And ETC’s stands will feature never-before-seen fixture, control, rigging and networking products, along with a big surprise that LDI attendees will be the first to see.

As an anniversary gift to its customers, ETC is holding a contest on Instagram that offers the chance to win Source 4WRD retrofit kits. To be entered into the drawing, users can take a photo of themselves with the Source Four fixtures they would like to transition to LED, and post it to Instagram, tagging @ElectronicTheatreControls and using the hashtag #WinS4WRD. Those attending the LDI tradeshow are encouraged to visit the ETC booths (2773, 2872 and 2972) to take photos with actual Source 4WRD units. Out of all of the entries, ETC will choose five lucky winners of retrofit kits.

Foundation Control

ETC will also offer educational opportunities at LDI 2016, including pre-tradeshow training on Eos®-family consoles as part of the LDInstitute training sessions. ETC Eos-Family Product Manager Anne Valentino will help lead the “Of Course I Meant To Do That!: The Fine Art of Busking” session on Friday, October 21st, at 11:00am, in room N111-N114, NTB Room. And on Saturday, October 22nd, at 10:00am, in room N108, ETC Outreach and Training Specialist Tom Littrell will present his incredibly popular “Fifty shades of R80” session on using additive color-mixing in modern stage lighting.

Prodigy P75 Self-Climber

ETC will honor another important tradition in its history by hosting its Student Session on Saturday, October 22nd, at 5:15pm, in the ETC demo room, N115. Students have the opportunity to chat with ETC employees, get their questions answered, learn about jobs at ETC, and win swag. In order to attend the Student Session, students must pick up a backstage pass at the registration desk at ETC’s LDI booth or from demo room N115 during show hours.
