    ETCnomad Education Package

    Calling all lighting students and educators! Do you want your own professional yet affordable control system? We have just the answer for you: the ETCnomad Education Package. It’s an ideal foundation for students interested in lighting control.



    What does the Education Package include?

    It includes a base ETCnomad USB key (2 universes) and a Gadget II 2-universe USB to DMX/RDM interface. The tiny USB key plugs into a Windows PC, turning it into a flexible controller that runs the latest in both Hog PC and Eos family software. Start programming real lighting rigs with Hog PC right on your laptop! Experience how easy it is to get a show up and running using on screen console mimics and keyboard shortcuts, or by connecting budget-friendly MIDI panels you can configure for yourself. The ETCnomad USB Key unlocks DMX output using the Gadget II interface, and also outputs sACN and Art-Net Ethernet-based lighting protocols directly from your laptop, giving you real-world experience right at the start of your career. Programming skills learned on Hog PC translate directly to the rest of the Hog family of lighting control consoles.


    How much is it?

    The recommended retail price for the ETCnomad Education package is $350 /350€ / £300 (+ tax), which is the usual retail price of a Gadget II.


    Am I eligible?

    You can purchase the Package if you are:

    • An individual currently in an education program or undergoing an apprenticeship or internship
    • A student or teacher at a primary or secondary school
    • A student, professor or instructor at a college or university

    Proof of enrollment, valid at the time of order, is required as proof of eligibility. There is a limit of one package per customer.

    How do I get one?

    The ETCnomad Education Package is available globally via ETC’s extensive network of dealers. Simply email your completed PDF order form and proof of eligibility to your preferred local dealer. To complete the form, you’ll need to include the email you used to register with MyETC.

    What's next?

    There’s no need to worry — your access to the unlocked software will not expire when you complete your studies or move on to your next teaching job. Software updates are always free, so you can take advantage of new features as they release.  

    You do have the option to upgrade to the unlocked (12 universe) version of the ETCnomad USB Key at the regular price. You can contact your ETC dealer to find out about upgrade options.
