All High End Systems optical thin films are deposited on borosilicate float glass substrates. Borosilicate is superior to other glass substrates due to its enhanced optical and physical properties.
Shown here are samples of our typical dichroic filters. These examples represent only a fraction of our standard colors and the wide range of custom coatings we are capable of producing. We also have a library of color correctors, hotmirrors, and UV (Blacklight) filters available, and
can engineer custom coatings to fit almost any customer requirements.
Dichroic filters create only the purest color in their spectrum and will last forever. Dichroics transmit only wanted frequencies, absorbing no unwanted energy which can cause heat buildup and lead to degradation. Dichroics reflect out these undesired frequencies.

Our coating operation consists of the
three 96" diameter coating chambers, each capable of coating 6 - 30"
Diameter substrates (1.1mm to 6mm thickness). To ensure optimum coating
performance and repeatability, coating chambers are outfitted with
advanced digital control components, state-of-the-art automation
platforms, Ion assisted deposition, and custom optical monitoring
state-of-the-art computer-controlled waterjet and scribe/break
technology, our Optical Lab is equipped to meet your custom dichroic
filter sizing requirements.
Whether you require simple geometric shapes or more intricate designs,
our sizing department is capable of sizing your filters to tolerances of
up to +/-.010"
