ETC names new associate regional manager for the Northeast
Date Posted: 12/11/2015
ETC is pleased to announce the promotion of Peter Wiegand to the newly-created role of associate regional manager for the northeast region. The job title may be new, but Wiegand is no stranger to the area; he has worked in ETC's New York office as a field project coordinator for the past six years. In his new position, which began on October 1st of this year, Wiegand will assist Regional Manager Joe DiNardo in developing and maintaining strategic sales and customer support in the northeast United States, Canada and India.
Pete has a long history in the entertainment-lighting industry, having lent his skills to many art installations and Broadway and touring shows, and to the ground-up creation and commissioning of a performing arts center. Wiegand's involvement with ETC began in 2003, when he worked as a field service phone technician in the Middleton headquarters, though he subsequently moved back to the Northeast to continue his freelance career. In 2009, his expertise in rigging, LEDs, dimming and controls led him back to ETC, where he has provided lighting and rigging system support across the Northeast in his role as field project coordinator.
DiNardo is excited to work with Wiegand in this new, expanded capacity: "Pete's past experiences with ETC as a tech and FPC, his knowledge of the Northeast's dealers and reps, his passion to help our customers and his comradery with fellow employees makes him a perfect fit for the position. I'm looking forward in sharing the responsibility and growth of the territory with him."
