ETC lights Starbucks Shanghai

Hong Kong (30 May 2018) - Starbucks opened their new Shanghai flagship in December 2017. Situated in the city center of one of the busiest cities in China, the Shanghai shop is not only the second Starbucks Reserve Roastery in the world but also the world’s largest Starbucks. The two-storey Roastery is 30,000 square feet, nearly doubling the size of the Roastery in Seattle. This is no ordinary coffee shop but a store designed to bring exclusive experience to coffee lovers in China.

The store features three coffee experience bars where the main attraction being the longest of the three, an 88 feet long, handcrafted wooden bar. ETC Source Four Mini fixtures create a stage like environment at the bars. These mini fixtures that give strong lighting punch are the perfect choice to light the performances of hundreds of professional baristas, handcrafting and brewing coffees with different methods for their customers who can closely observe and appreciate the process.

ETC Source Four LED Series 2 fixtures are used to light one of the store most stunning features, a two-story copper roasting cask. Artistically incorporating the Chinese element to the modern design of the shop, the cask is decorated with over 1,000 traditional Chinese seals. ETC Source Four Tungsten HD fixtures give out warm light that mimic performance of tungsten fixtures. They light up the stairs that lead visitors to the bakery located at the second floor of the store. Working together with Desire D60 fixtures, the two ETC LED fixtures produce customized light for the visitors to enjoy the freshly baked pastries. The lighting system of the store is completed with Unison Moasaic and Paradigm architectural systems.
