ETC gets “CYC-ed” for LDI 2017
Date Posted: 11/9/2017
ETC’s booth at
LDI 2017 will be awash in color as the new
ColorSource CYC luminaire makes its debut at the Las Vegas Convention Center next week. From November 17-19, visitors to booth #2773 can demo the new fixture – a compact, affordable five-color LED cyclorama light that specializes in smooth washes and rich color – and see its striking optics in action on the booth’s
cyc.
Among the other products making their first appearance at LDI are the
Ion Xe and Ion Xe 20 consoles, which update the compact Eos® family desk with backlit keyboards, increased output, and the option of built-in faders. Also showing for the first time will be the
Source 4WRD™ PAR and PARnel – which combine new fixture bodies with the Source 4WRD engine to create incredibly bright LED wash lights – and a Source 4WRD Daylight unit (5700K). LDI attendees can also see new varieties of the
Irideon™ FPZ architectural luminaire and the GDS by ETC
ArcLamp. The ETC Rigging stand will feature the
Prodigy® P75 Self Climber hoist and a new, custom cart for the
Foundation Desk.
ETC will present talks and events throughout the show. On Friday morning, Jim Uphoff will introduce the ColorSource CYC to the hungry attendees of the New Technology Breakfast in Room N112. On Saturday at 10:30am in Room N220, Wendy Luedtke, ETC’s resident color specialist, will debut a new
version of the popular 50 Shades of R80 additive-color-mixing talk, including new material on LED performance. Then, on Saturday evening at 6:15pm, ETC will host its traditional Student Session in the ETC/HES lounge (Room N101), allowing younger attendees a chance to ask
questions of (and perhaps score swag from) ETC product specialists.
ETC’s stand will also feature a celebration of the 25thanniversary of the
Source Four® fixture with the presentation of a special video crowdsourced from venues around the world. To further mark the occasion, a number of chrome
Source Four Mini luminaires will be given away to show attendees. Be sure to visit the booth to get this year’s swag; look inside, and you may find one of four Silver Tickets that indicate the lucky winners.
