Light the Way Equipment Grant Program

  • ETC Philanthropy Funding Equipment

ETC’s Light the Way Program aims to support the next generation of lighting design and technology professionals by providing equipment grants to selected non-profit organizations.

Each year, ETC reviews applications from programs and organizations that provide design or technical training in performance arts. ETC awards grants based on where our equipment can provide the most impact.

    Eligibility

To apply for an equipment grant, applicants must be based in the United States and meet one of the following:
    • A 501(c)(3) non-profit residing in the United States.
    • Accredited public or private secondary school, college or university residing in the United States.
    • Federal, state, or local government as defined in section 170 (c) of the IRS service code.

Please note that programs which provide technical training are preferred for Light the Way grants.

    Available Equipment and Training

To better match the equipment grant to your facility’s needs, ETC offers a number of equipment package options from which recipients may choose. Upon selection, ETC will inform recipients of the number of packages being awarded and equipment options from which to select. Package options include a range of gear, including consoles, LED spotlights, LED washlights, LED CYC fixtures, LED retrofit options, moving lights, and more. Options offered will be subject to availability.

ETC will coordinate with grant recipients to provide training for all equipment included in their selected packages.
