CABSAT 2018: ETC is ready for its close-up
Date Posted: 1/3/2018
Once again, ETC is collaborating with regional partner Oasis Enterprises for CABSAT 2018, 14-16 January, at Dubai World Trade Centre. Jebel Ali Meeting Room C will star a line-up of new and award-winning broadcast-friendly products from ETC. Visitors will have the opportunity to see demonstrations of
ETC lighting fixtures and controls in a real-life studio set-up, with on-camera demonstrations.
See in action the highest-quality LED lighting for any position in your studio: the
Source Four® LED system. The Source Four LED Series 2 luminaire is available in three arrays: Lustr® for the most expansive palette of bold colours, and Daylight HD and Tungsten HD, which were designed specifically for studio use, providing colour-spectrum-specific,
natural, tunable white light. Their handy flicker-free mode was designed for use with high-speed and rolling-shutter cameras, for a flawless look on camera.
There are also a range of accessories, fixed-focus and zoom lens tubes, and
adapters that transform Source Four LED fixtures into tools that can be used for a variety of applications on set, or on location. The Fresnel adapter allows the light engines to create soft washes with smooth coverage.
Visitors can also see the the new
ColorSource® CYC – a fixture with a sole purpose of creating beautiful, smooth washes of light on a cyclorama or wall. It’s capable of producing a wide range of colours using a unique, all-LED, five colour mix of red, green, blue, indigo, and lime. It’s also perfect for use in broadcasts, thanks to its high 25K mode,
which runs the fixture flicker-free; and the unique emitter mix means you can light up a backdrop with vibrant colours or dial in soft pastels or pure white.
Controlling the luminaires will be ETC's flagship lighting control desk, the
Eos® Ti, with powerful hardware, easy-to-navigate software, and the right tools to realise art within the tight timetable of professional productions. Ti speaks the language of light, with no complicated command syntax to get in the way of your design.
Ti features large-format, high-resolution articulating multi-touch displays with a substantial programming surface. It also offers a dedicated multi-touch encoder display, 20 user-definable buttons, a backlit keyboard, motorised faders, multiple USB and video ports - everything
to make the experience of designing and programming a breeze.
Dedicated professionals from ETC will be on hand to answer questions in Jebel Ali Meeting Room C and also on the stand of Oasis Enterprises – ZB5-A20, where additional ETC products will be on display. Equipment available for demos will include a pole operated Source Four fixture, and the
new
Ion® Xe lighting control console, together with
Eos Fader Wings. The Ion Xe desk brings professional programming power to any venue. It features the same backlit keyboard layout and full-feature software as its bigger Eos family siblings. Ion Xe can integrate into a system with other Eos family products, and users can
transition between desks with ease.
