Pathway for Youth contest

A company originally started by university students, ETC has always been dedicated to fostering young talent in the industry. When ETC dealer DOKA Center introduced the idea of a lighting design contest for young designers – the first of its kind in Russia – ETC immediately signed on as a sponsor.

Recently introduced at the Prolight + Sound NAMM Russia 2017 tradeshow in Moscow, DOKA’s Pathway for Youth contest is open to any Russian lighting designer under the age of 30. They can submit one of their designs by May 25th, 2018, to be judged in one of three categories: Best Lighting Design for a Theatrical Performance, Best Lighting Design for a Concert, and Best Lighting Design for a Musical Production. The winner of the Best Lighting Design for a Musical Production category will win an Ion Xe console, ETC’s newest lighting control desk. One contestant will be chosen to win the grand prize, a trip to Frankfurt, Germany, with DOKA for the Prolight + Sound 2018 or 2019 tradeshow.
