ETC names new southern rigging regional sales manager

ETC has a new person to support its growing rigging presence in the southern United States. In his new role as rigging regional sales manager for the South, Stu Schatz will work closely with ETC’s rigging representatives and dealers in the area to provide sales support for customers.

Schatz holds a master of fine arts in scenic and lighting design and a bachelor of fine arts in technical theater from the University of Minnesota. He served for several years as a technical director for the Minnesota Opera and the University of Nebraska. Then Schatz was a project manager in ETC’s dealer network for 12 years, working with a variety of projects, from small elementary schools to large performing arts centers. He joined ETC in 2013 as a rigging specialist in the Professional Services department, and the following year, he was promoted to rigging manager of Professional Services. 

“We are excited about having Stu join our sales team,” says Gary Henley, ETC’s rigging national sales manager. “His knowledge of all ETC rigging products, as well as his management and customer-support experience make him a great fit for this position.”
