ETC is teaming up with its official dealer, Samat Show Technics Ltd., and the Robe lighting company to host seminars in Kazakhstan to demonstrate the latest in lighting technology. The first seminar will take place in Almaty on Wednesday, May 17th, at the Zhas Sakhna Theater, and the

Both seminars have the same schedule that is packed with informative sessions on modern lighting themes. From 10:00am to 1:00pm, Robe will present their products. Lunch will follow and then at 2:00pm, ETC employees, certified console trainers and Samat staff will lead sessions on ETC
equipment. First up will be ETC entertainment lighting systems. Trainers will demonstrate the advanced features and award-winning color controls of
Cobalt- and
Eos-family consoles, and explain how they can be used for theatrical lighting. ETC will then show its versatile
Source Four LED system of LED luminaires, adapters and accessories, which can be used for any task in a theater.
That will be followed by a session called ‘World-class, high-quality lighting for a limited budget: a myth or reality.’ “This will be an opportunity for attendees to learn about our
ColorSource family of lighting gear,” explains ETC Eastern European Sales Manager Armin Kloss. “The LED luminaires, lighting-control consoles and power controls in the ColorSource family were developed to bring professional-level lighting capabilities to
smaller venues and venues with limited resources.”
The next session will be a presentation of distributed control options for stage, rehearsal and work lighting. ETC staff will present the
Unison Paradigm and
Unison Echo architectural-control families. And the final session of the day will cover lighting-control networks and protocols for the past, present and future. Included in the session will be a demonstration of ETC’s
Net3networking products.
At the end of the presentations in Almaty on May 17th, all attendees are invited to a buffet in the theater. They will have the opportunity to learn about the new lighting system in place at the Zhas Sakhna Theater.
Following the product demonstrations in Astana, on May 19th at 6:00pm, the organizers will take attendees by bus to the Kazakh National Choreography Academy for a tour of the Ballet Hall, which recently had a lighting-system upgrade. Attendees will then take a bus back to Portofino to
