Industry experts gather at Theatrical PTU in Moscow

The Theatrical PTU program in Moscow drew over 100 visitors from across Russia who were able to explore the newest collection of products from ETC and High End Systems.

The annual program which is in its sixth year, was set up following a grant from the President of the Russian Federation and aims to inform visitors of the latest developments in the lighting, sound and technology sector. Industry professionals from across the country headed to Moscow’s Na Strastnom Theater Center for the three-day event. 

ETC presented innovative, new products to visitors. Project coordinator, Vladimir Kraynov and Eos family trainer Timos Saitov demonstrated the company’s latest innovation, Augment3d. The Eos v3.0 tool is ETC’s first integrated 3D programming environment and allows users to control and design in a three dimensional space whilst being able to interact with their fixtures through augmented reality. 

ETC dealer, Doka provided demonstrations of Relevé Spot, an automated, LED fixture designed specifically for theatre which features a four-color additive mixing system and unique Ani-gobo wheel that creates textures of light like never before. Visitors could explore the high quality color of the moving light and learn even more from product experts after the presentation. 

High End Systems’ range of products were showcased in the demo zone at the Theatrical PTU. Attendees were able to see the new SolaFrame 3000 which boasts over 37,000 lumens as well as the SolaFrame 1000, SolaFrame 750 and ultra-silent SolaFrame Theatre. The automated fixtures were controlled from the leading Hog and ETC Eos family of consoles.

Students that attended the program also showed much interest in ETC’s Student Package which includes a base ETCnomad lighting controller key and a Gadget II 2-universe USB to DMX/RDM interface that work with both Eos and Hog 4 PC software. 

From students to industry professionals, the project attracted visitors from all backgrounds and was once again a successful event for both ETC and Theatrical PTU.
