Matthew Brookfield
General Manager of ETC Ltd.
Matthew Brookfield earned a BS in electrical engineering from Manchester Polytechnic in 1987. He then worked as a manufacturing engineer in industries as varied as steelmaking and telecommunications, eventually settling with ARRI (GB) Ltd. working on the Smart Rack and Smart Pack digital dimming systems.
Brookfield joined ETC in 1995, serving as production manager for ARRI and ETC Sensor® dimming products, and later as operation manager. In 2002, he left ETC to complete an MBA at Brunel University Business School in London, and then worked for three years in manufacturing consultancy.
He returned to ETC in 2006, being named general manager of ETC Ltd. He has contributed to the significant growth the company has gone through over the years, including establishing ETC as the most popular control brand in UK theaters and the expansion of the free console-training program.
