Corey Everts
Vice President of Finance / General Counsel
Corey Everts joined ETC in July 2005 as the Associate General Counsel, where he was primarily responsible for contract review and negotiation. He began his legal career in 2002 with the Door County, WI, corporate counsel office, where he handled a wide range of municipal law matters. Everts became ETC’s General Counsel in 2013 and was promoted to Senior General Counsel in 2022, where he oversaw all legal functions and strategies at ETC as well as the Associate Attorneys.
In 2025, his responsibilities expanded when he was promoted to VP of Compliance / General Counsel. He lead the company’s legal, compliance, and risk management functions, while continuing to oversee legal strategy, contract governance, regulatory compliance, and acquisitions. In 2026, Everts assumed the additional responsibility for Finance, when he was named Vice President of Finance & General Counsel. He is a graduate of Valparaiso Law School.
At ETC, his work has driven significant modernization within the legal department, including the development of structured workflows and digital systems for contract intake, delegation, and matter tracking. His efforts have improved internal responsiveness, strengthened oversight, and enhanced collaboration across departments.
