  • Updating Software on an Eos Family console or Net3 RVI

To find the version of your console's software, please see this article: Finding the Software Version on an Eos Family Console

This refers to both Eos Family Software and Eos Family Fixture Library Updates.

    Console Updates after V2.3.2

Starting in Eos v2.3.2, the console is able to unpack .zip folders in order to run installers.

    • 1.Download software from etcconnect.com
    • 2.Place the .zip file onto a USB flash drive.
    • 3.Insert the USB device containing the library into an available USB port on the console.
    • 4.Open the Eos Configuration Utility (ECU - Also known as the Eos Shell) either by exiting the Eos Family software (Browser>Exit) or by starting up the console and clicking on the {Launching in...} button. The ECU screen will open.
    • 5.Click on the {Settings} button. The settings window will open.
    • 6.Click on the {General} button inside of the settings window. The general settings will appear in the window.
    • 7.Scroll down in the window until the {Software Update...} button is visible. Click this button.  This scans the root directory of all available drives (USB drives) for valid installers.
    • 8.When the “Update Software” dialog pops up, click your installer, then choose {Install}.
    • 9.Follow onscreen prompts and choose {Close} when installation is complete.
