Some Net3 one port gateways running firmware version 22.214.171.124.0.10 shipped incorrectly configured for a default ETCNet2/3 system. They have proper ETC firmware installed but have an IP address of 10.4.xxx.xxx. Our normal ETCNet2/3 IP range is 10.101.xxx.xxx with a subnet of 255.255.0.0, so the improperly configured gateway will not successfully communicate with NCE - though it will likely appear in the Version Detect and Upgrade Utility.
Technicians who have encountered this issue have found a few solutions (detailed below).
One port gateways shipped on or after 2/22/2010 should all ship properly configured and not require these adjustments.
