  • Configuration Backups 

    Storage of a  rack's setup (configuration) is automatically backed up in non-volatile memory in 2 locations.

    1. CEM3 holds a local copy of the configuration. 
    2. A memory chip in the rack also holds a copy of the configuration.

    By default, the CEM3 will use the configuration of the rack unless the controler cannot read the chip during the boot process.  If this happens, CEM3 will generate a warning and use its local copy of the configuration.

    Additional manual backups can be created in several ways.

    1. USB
      • Insert a USB2 memory device in the USB port at the front of the CEM3.
      • Press the [Setup] button.
      • Scroll to [Media/backup]
      • Press [Enter]
      • Choose [Save to USB]
    2. FTP Server
      • An FTP server and storage location has to be previously setup. See FTP Setup for further details if you have not performed this step
      • Press the [Setup] button.
      • Scroll to [Media/backup]
      • Press [Enter]
