Color Control

EchoAccess Mobile App allows Color, Color Temp, Tint, Hue, and Saturation control of patched LED zones on an Echo DMX Scene Controller. You can control Color, Color Temp, Tint, and Intensity through the Zone Control page using sliders and a color wheel. Different combinations of Color Temp, Tint, Hue, Saturation, and Intensity can be controlled by setting up an Inspire 4 button fader station with its hardware Function switch set to Custom mode and fader push Action set to HSI Color Mode, Color Temp Mode, or Studio Mode. To work properly, settings in EchoAccess Mobile App must be configured on multiple pages for multiple devices, as described below.

Color control functionality is available on Inspire 4 button fader stations without using the app. For more information, see the Echo Inspire Stations Programming Guide.

Setup

  1. Verify that the fixtures to be controlled by the zone are in the correct mode, if applicable.
  2. Use the Main Menu to navigate to the Configuration page.
  3. Tap the DMX Scene Controller that you want to configure and swipe to the DMX Scene Controller's Patch Configuration page.
    • Choose the correct profile from the Profile menu under the zone where you want to patch the fixtures and add the correct addresses.
  4. Use the Main Menu to navigate to the Configuration page.
  5. Tap the Echo Access Interface or Echo Expansion Bridge and swipe to the Space Configuration page.
    • Scroll down to the Zone Info section and select the correct Type for the zone.
    • See Fixture Profiles for example fixtures and their compatible zone types.

Control

There are two ways to control a Color, Color Temp, or Studio Zone.

  1. Use the Zone Control page to directly control the Zone's Intensity slider, Color wheel, Color Temp slider, and/or Tint slider, depending on the profile and zone type.
    • Use the slider or tap on the number to the right of the slider and use the keyboard to enter a value for color temperature or tint. The range of color temperature is 0-100 in a Color zone or Color Temp zone. The range of color temperature is 2725-6450 (in Kelvin) in a Studio zone. The range of tint is 0-100.
    • Zone Control must be enabled under General Configuration for your Echo Access Interface or Echo Expansion Bridge.
    • Color Temp Control must be enabled under Space Configuration for your Echo Access Interface or Echo Expansion Bridge if you choose the Color zone type and want to control color temperature.
  2. Use a 4 Button with Fader Inspire Station.
    • Choose a Fader Push Action.
      • HSI Color Mode is a three-way push control that determines the Fader Rotate action, cycling through Intensity Raise/Lower, Saturation Raise/Lower, and Hue Raise/Lower.
      • Color Temp Mode is a two-way push control that toggles between two Fader Rotate actions: Intensity Raise/Lower and Color Temperature Raise/Lower.
      • Studio Mode is a three-way push control that determines the Fader Rotate action, cycling through Intensity Raise/Lower, Color Temperature Raise/Lower, and Tint Raise/Lower.
      • See Echo Inspire Stations for details on Inspire station actions.
