Eos Update

  • ETC is committed to navigating the constantly-evolving challenges of the ongoing global parts shortages. This page contains the most up-to-date information on affected Eos products, as we roll out internal component revisions.

    Last Updated: 06/01/2023

Eos v3.2.1 has been replaced by Eos v3.2.2

Eos v3.2.2 has been released, which corrects a critical issue during a firmware upgrade that can result in the console losing its license (output count). This issue only exists for consoles built after July 2022, that have been upgraded to Eos v3.2.1. Users who have upgraded to v3.2.1 should move to v3.2.2 as soon as they are able, and users moving from v3.2.0 or earlier should move directly to v3.2.2 when they are upgrading.

If your console is affected, DO NOT attempt to update firmware on the “Intelligent Power Board IMX RT” module in the shell - a failed update will result in the console needing to return to an ETC Service Provider to be restored to operational condition. If your console is not affected or you do not attempt to upgrade the Intelligent Power Board, Eos v3.2.1 is fully functional and stable, but ETC recommends moving to v3.2.2 when possible to remove the threat of issues.

Affected Products: only products manufactured after July 2022 that use the “Intelligent Power Board IMX RT” circuit boards can be affected. These are used in Element 2, Ion Xe, Ion Xe 20, Ion Xe PRU, Gio @5, Apex Processor, and Eos Remote Interface (full Apex consoles, Programming Wings, Pucks, and legacy hardware are not affected). If you are unsure if your console is affected, grab the device’s serial number and check the list below.

Eos v3.2.1 has been fully replaced by v3.2.2 on our website. If you have a specific need for Eos v3.2.1 software or if you have further questions, please contact Technical Support.
