Bill McGivern has always considered Madison, Wisconsin, home. He attended the University of Wisconsin, majoring in TV production. He did move to New York for a ten-year period in the 1980s, when he toured as a production electrician for the Feld Ballet and worked at the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, South Carolina. McGivern also toured with such shows as Big River and Dancin’.
In 1990, McGivern agreed to ‘help’ at ETC for two weeks, bringing his touring and production experience to the company. Those two weeks turned into more than two decades. McGivern started in the ETC Test department, and in 1992, moved into Project Management. In 1999, he was named director of Systems, overseeing Quotations, Project Management, Applications Engineering and Drafting. In 2006, McGivern became the director of Manufacturing, and shortly after that he was promoted to be the vice president of Manufacturing. In this position, he oversees the production and delivery of all manufactured products, as well as the Manufacturing Engineering and Purchasing departments. McGivern has brought his strong sense of customer service and understanding of what it is to be a customer to all of the departments that he has been involved with.
