Loading a Fixture Personality

Some devices may not be included in the onboard library or discoverable via RDM.

Fixture personalities may be requested from fixture-library-hub.etcconnect.com. You will need to provide the fixture manual, the required mode(s) and, if applicable, a deadline for the creation of the personality.

Alternatively, download the ColorSource Personality Editor from etcconnect.com to create custom personalities.

To load a personality:

  1. Save the file to the root directory of a USB drive. The file must be named userlib.jlib in order to be recognized.
  2. With the USB drive plugged into the device, go to Setup > Patch > Add Device.
  3. From the Source dropdown, select User Library. A new library will display with your fixture listed by its manufacturer’s name.

Custom profiles are only saved to your device if they are patched and saved with the show file. Please back up any important files to a separate location.
