Gateway Counters
The gateway counter, located on the bottom-left of the main screen, is an up to the moment count of the total number of devices that are currently online. Each device type is totaled for you including DMX, Show Control, and I/O gateway's and the RFR base station types.
Show Device Configurations
Selecting “Show Device Configurations" brings up the "Device Configurations" table which shows the list of devices in the current configuration. If the "Online Table" is not visible on the main window, the "Device Configurations" table takes up the entire window.
The main display is split evenly between the "Device Configurations" table and the "Online Devices" table with both settings checked by default.
Show Online Devices
Selecting “Show Online Devices" brings up the "Online Devices" table which shows the list of devices discovered online. If the "Device Configurations" table is not visible on the main window, the "Online Devices" table takes up the entire window.
The main display is split evenly between the "Device Configurations" table and the "Online Devices" table with both settings checked by default.
Discover Devices
The "Discover Devices" check box controls the Discovery Service (SLP), effectively controlling the gateway status updates in the "Online Devices" table. When the "Discover Devices" setting is turned off (unchecked), you will not be able to see if a new gateway has come online after initialization. As well, you can not change the properties of a gateway in the online table if it has gone offline. The configuration for the gateway is still editable in the "Device Configurations" table if a bound configuration record exists. That configuration may be applied at a later time when the gateway is online.
When GCE is closed and restarted, "Device Discover" will be re-enabled by default and the list of "Online Devices" will refresh to display the latest data.
Total Number of Devices Connected
The total number of Net3 configurable devices found on the network and connected to GCE. This does not include other ACN devices that are not configurable using GCE.
