Local Contact Properties

Local contact inputs and contact outputs are physically located on the I/O board of the Unison DRd Rack Enclosure or ERn Control Enclosure that hosts the selected Paradigm Processor P‑ACP‑E Mk2or P‑ACP Mk1 only). Use the Property Editor to set the function of the local contact inputs and outputs. Selecting a local contact input or contact output from the Browser displays the contact properties in the Property Editor.

 

• Object Type - the type of object you have selected. This property is not selectable or editable.
• Name - The name of the contact (default is Contact Input 1).
• Project Scope - This setting is specific to a server project. Use to set which sub-project will be affected by the control (default is the sub-project that the control is associated.
• Control Space - This setting is specific to a contact input. Use to set which space will be affected by the control (default is Global).
• Lockout Group - This setting is specific to a contact input. Set the lockout group to which this contact is associated (default is "A").
• Lockout Threshold - This setting is specific to a contact input. The threshold that must be met or exceeded which causes the contact to become disabled (default is "50%").
• Priority - This setting is specific to a contact input. Set the priority level of the action for the contact.
• Override - This setting is specific to a contact input and allows the assignment of an override to the contact.
• Control Group - This setting is specific to a contact input. Set which control group the contact is associated.
• Text - This free text field is available for a contact output only.

• Function - Set the controls function from the available options in the drop-down menu..

  Note: Function properties are dependent on the contact type selected, either contact input or a contact output.

  When a function is selected, additional properties will display to further specify the contacts function. Properties can become very specific depending on the selections made. For best results, fully specify a property for each of the "Function" sub-property selections. Functions that are displayed in blue denote an Advanced user function.

  Note: (Server systems only) Demand Response load shedding can be enabled and disabled in a group or a space by assigning a demand response action to a button control.

  Note: When a contact input is assigned a Maintained Button control function, additional properties display in the Property Editor that enable Paradigm to evaluate the state of the maintained button at boot. This feature ensures the associated action runs, even if the contact is open.

• Runtime Properties - a "view only" property that displays the current “live” properties for a contact input.
  • State - this is a "view only" property of a contact input that displays the position of the contact ( "Open" or "Closed").
