Generate Defaults Sensor CEM+ Full Feature & Basic Portable

Instructions For Basic CEM+ Setup

(The following information is based on CEM+ v 3.1.2)

There is a memory chip on the backplane of all Sensor+ racks.  This chip stores information about the rack and the CEM+ that is in the rack.  When a rack is configured, the data for the rack is stored on this chip.  If a different CEM+ is put in the rack it will communicate with this chip and determine that it is not the original CEM+ and will prompt you to take action.

Step 1-Update all racks to current software.
Step 2-Insert CEM+ into rack and allow to boot.
Step 3-If this is not the CEM+ that was last in the rack, select from the options you are presented with.  (All of the options below may not be available to you depending on previous rack settings)

Below are the options available and what they mean:

USE RACKS CONFIG:
If selected you will pull the configuration off of the backplane and the rack will be restored to the state it was in with the previous CEM+.

GET CONFIG FROM:
This will allow you, when part of a networked group, to pull the configuration from another rack in the group to restore it to what it was before.

GO TO NO CONFIG:
This will wipe the CEM+ clean and allow you to regenerate defaults.  Follow the on-screen directions to set up the rack.  All previous data will be lost with this option.

USE THIS CEM CONFIG:
If selected you will use the existing configuration that is on the CEM+ and overwrite any information in the rack.

Note-Icon.png Note:  If you are operating your racks in Basic Portable Mode you will not be given any options.  When you insert a new CEM+ into a rack it will automatically pull the configuration from the rack and load it into the control module.
