ETC is gearing up for a very busy PLASA Focus tradeshow in Leeds, April 17th-18th, 2012. The new Source Four LED is set to receive its first major UK public showing there, with demonstrations on the ETC stand (S-C6), allowing visitors to compare the fixture’s output to incandescent Source Four® fixtures.

When the Source Four LED was demonstrated at Prolight + Sound, in Frankfurt in March, it drew large, enthusiastic crowds.

The fixture will initially be available in three versions: Source Four LED Lustr+™, Source Four LED Daylight™, and Source Four LED Tungsten™, bringing bright white light plus brilliant colors and energy-saving efficiency to all types of installations.

The Source Four LED Tungsten and Daylight produce maximum brightness at their respective warm (3000K) and cool white (5600K) color temperatures. And just like ETC’s Selador Desire Lustr+™, the Source Four LED Lustr+ offers a complete palette of colors, thanks to the Selador® x7 Color System. All offer the same stunning projection-quality beam and smooth dimming.

On the second day of the show – Wednesday, April 18th – at 10am, ETC’s Regional Manager for UK & Ireland Mark White and Market Manager Erik Larsen will present a seminar in the Wellington Room, discussing the implications of introducing LED light sources into theatrical lighting design.

White comments: “The Source Four LED can be added into conventional rigs without fear of compromise. We will be blending white LEDs and narrow-band color LEDs with broad-band traditional incandescent light sources and seeing the result. The Source Four LED is a step change from previous LED fixtures and is already being described as the future of stage lighting.”

“We know that seven colors are a better choice than just three, four, five or six, and can now ‘layer’ light – that is to say, use LED fixtures in conjunction with incandescent fittings to benefit from the best of both sources.”
