Event roundup: ETC at DOKA Seminar 2018
From May 23-25 2018, almost 300 people attended a seminar by ETC dealer DOKA Center in Lesnye Dali in the Moscow region. Over the three days, visitors were able to attend seminars and presentations, learn about the latest products and network with colleagues from across the world.
The seminar involved an extensive demo zone where products could be seen and tested whilst speakers presented on stage. It began with a presentation of the largest project, implemented by DOKA, the Zaryadye concert hall.
The ETC booth featured the company’s newest products, some of which also made their Russian debut at the DOKA seminar. The booth showcased the ColorSource family of products, including ColorSource Pearl Spot and PAR. These are variable white-light LED fixtures, with the ability to adjust the color temperature anywhere between 2700 K and 6500 K.
The new, stylish and compact Irideon WLZ (Wash Light Zoom) fixture was also presented at the event. Designed with museums, art galleries and retail environments in mind, Irideon WLZ allows beam angle adjustment within an impressive range (from 9 to 78 degrees) and attracted much attention from visitors.
The seminar continued with a picnic with an informal atmosphere, with a variety of ETC product themed games for guests to participate in.
The second day involved thought-provoking lectures and presentations, including one by ETC technical sales specialist Vladimir Kraynov and regional sales manager Armin Kloss, who discussed the latest innovations and products from the last two years. These included Gio @5, Ion Xe, ColorSource CYC and ColorSource Pearl, and several others. On the main stage, the new ColorSource CYC cyclorama fixtures were also demonstrated.
The traditional gala dinner incorporated an awards presentation for the winners of the Pathway for Youth contest that was announced by DOKA back in September 2017. ETC sponsored the award for Best Lighting Design for a Musical Production and the winner –Alexander Romanov – was presented with a new Ion Xe 20 console.
