CE SmartPack Wallmount Series (including ThruPower)
Theatre lighting is in the midst of a huge change. The introduction of LED lighting has caused the entertainment industry to stop and reconsider every aspect of how a system is put together. When designing a theatre we now need to revisit how many circuits will be required,location and quantities of lights that will need to be hung in the air, and even how those circuits will be controlled.
In this time of changing needs, more options are also needed for "how" the power will be controlled. For this reason, ETC is introducing new models of SmartPack.
SmartPack Wallmount has been expanded to include a series of four functional models:
- Relay only
- Dimmer only
- Dimmer with hot power overrides
- Dimmer with controllable relay, and hot power overrides
CE SmartPack Relay (Relay Only)
SmartPack Relay is available with 12 branch circuits at 230V with integrated 10A (2.3kW) breakers (12x10A). This unit utilizes control from a DMX address to turn on and off each circuit's air gap relay. By default, the relay turns on at 1% of control and off at 0% of control. A 50% control switch point can be achieved by changing the curve to switch mode.
CE SmartPack Dimming system (Dimming only)
SmartPack Dimming is available at 12x10A; 6x20A, and 3x25A. SmartPack dimmers offer a high quality yet cost effective control of your tungsten-halogen lights with smooth fades, and minimal setup.
CE SmartPack ThruPower Switch (Dimming with Hot Power)
SmartPack ThruPower Switch combines the same quality dimming with a switch for every circuit that turns on power directly to the fixture. This additional hot power mode completely bypasses the dimmer safely delivering constant 230V power to LED and other self-dimming lights. Placing the circuit into hot output not only assures that switched power supplies are not dimmed, but it also prevents the board operator from unintentionally shutting off the power to these fixtures during a performance.
CE SmartPack ThruPower Relay (Dimming or Relay with Hot Power)
This 12x10A model model is equipped with dimmer and relay at each circuit to allow schools, churches, and small theatres the flexibility to chose where they get constant or switched power as they add LED into their traditional tungsten lighting system! The CE SmartPack ThruPower relay offers a three-position switch for each branch circuit that brings choice of dimmed, relay or hot power output to your fingertips.
Dimmed mode:
In dimmed mode, the pack continues to provide the same quality fades and ease of use you have come to depend on.
Hot Output Mode:
Placing a circuit's mode switch to "ON" completely overrides all incoming control by locking on the air gap relay to bypass the dimmer and choke. This mode is great as a focus tool or for peace of mind preventing the board operator from not accidentally shutting off LED's and other equipment requiring constant power during a performance.
