Problem:
When the Smartpack is turned on it will display the software version and the name Smartpack, but will not display the primary screen of channel levels and DMX range.
Solution:
The user will need to adjust the contrast settings for the LCD screen. To change this setting follow these directions:
Turn off the SmartPack.
Turn on the Smartpack while holding "<<", "<", and the "check" button.
Hold these buttons until after the "ETC Smartpack" message goes away.
Carefully remove your fingers from the buttons being care full to NOT hold the "check bttton" alone.
Press the check button.
Then use "+" and "-" to adjust the contrast. If this doesn't appear after holding both buttons, press "check bttton" and try again.
Once the contrast is set, press "check bttton" to save it.
Power cycle the SmartPack.
Another method is available for the RDM Units.
If the smartpack turns on and you can read "ETC SmartPack" for a few seconds and then the screen goes blank, that means that the stored contrast setting is too low.
To Adjust Contrast:
At the blank screen press "<<" to insure you are at the home screen.
Press and hold "<<".
While Holding "<<" use "+" and "-" to adjust the contrast.
