Dimmers
Circuits

(288) dimmers for conventional lighting

Fixtures

(~160) Assorted ETC Source Four fixtures

Notes about layout:

This is the layout I keep in the repertory show file for our main theatre. It shows where every circuit in the theatre is. I placed my independents for house lightsin the bottom row of orange homes, and my three worklight independents are shown in the bottom left as green homes.

Each lighting position is labeled. Via the Channel Database, each circuit in the theatre has a text description, as is shown more clearly in the bottom screenshot. When myself, one of our other programmer, or someone who has never stepped into the theatre goes to program a show with this file, they can be assured which circuits are which and need not worry about where they are in the theatre.

If someone calls to the programmer to bring up a specific circuit but they can't remember what the number is, so long as they can narrow it down to something like "Third Electric, Stage Left", the programmer can quickly select those channels and hunt down the specific circuit in seconds using Highlight/Next/Last.

The symbols for this are left blank specifically because each show could have very different lighting from another. I leave it to the programmer to decide if this is good enough for them or if they want to go through and remove unused circuits and change colors and symbols of circuits that are in use. I can afford the time to do this even on most one-off events because my entire rep file is ready to go when I walk into the theatre -- the only programming i have to do for events I'm busking is I have to modify my layout to show which fixtures are being used where, modify colors, maybe some text labels, and then all I have to do is make some groups, a few effects, and I'm ready to start the show.
