If the console or processor boots directly into the CMOS screen, the 486 processor board in the console most likely has a dead battery. 

If you are in a show critical situation, you can try to [Save & Exit] from the CMOS screen and cross your fingers that the console continues to boot.  You can also try to wiggle the DC power harness to see that offers any help.  The Customer will need to arrange for a repair to examine the 486 processor board.  If the problem is not the battery, then another hardware problem exists.
