KnowledgeBase: Differences between Legacy Unison and Paradigm Infrared Remotes This page is locked to prevent further edits

The legacy Unison remote and Unison Heritage remote are the same hardware, however some changes were made to the remote and button placement that will affect their functionality. Both remotes are compatible with Legacy Unison hardware, however the Heritage remote must be used for Unison Paradigm systems

  • Legacy Unison Systems used the 7081A1357 or 7081A1358 remote until after Paradigm was deployed.  Then ETC changed over to the newer Paradigm style remotes.
  • Unison Paradigm Systems use the 7181A1357 or 7181A1358 remote. The placement of the 10th button is different from the legacy remotes and the legacy remote’s 10th button will not function with a Paradigm Control System.
