Welcome to the Congo How-To Library
This Congo How-To Library was formed to teach Congo and Congo Jr. users how they can get the most out of their consoles. While it's been jump-started by ETC employees, anyone with a community forums user account can add and edit pages. We encourage people to add entries and make revisions at their discretion.
End-users, this is for you. If you know a better way to do something or have found a simpler or faster way to get something done, you're both welcome and encouraged to share your expertise with the rest of the community here in the Wiki. We ask that discussions about existing or proposed articles remain in the forums though.
This isn't Wikipedia. It's also not a user manual. In many cases it'll be necessary to list the keystrokes, but this isn't intended to be a reference guide listing just the keystrokes for a given task. The goal is to have articles that not only explain how to do something, but why a user would want to do something that way. Some entries will be straight-forward, and other entries like "Congo Desk Arrangement: Putting Stuff Where You Can Find It" are purely a matter of taste where every user and application will have their own ways they like to setup their consoles. If you read through an article and say to yourself, "I know a much better way to do that," then we'd love to hear what you would do differently. On the other hand, if you think "I have no idea what this article is talking about," then it's probably worth opening a discussion on the Congo forums letting us know that something is confusing and could use a little love and attention to clean it up or further elaborate on the topic.
While a number of entries are listed below, not all have articles attached to them yet. This is a collaborative effort and will be a work-in-progress so long as people are still programming on Congo lighting consoles around the globe. To get things started, I've listed a handful of proposed different articles that I and the Congo team will start grinding away at.
If you add an entry, please list it here in an appropriate category. If there are topics you would like to see information on but don't know enough about to write yourself, edit this entry and add an item to a category or post a request in the Congo forums for a given topic to be covered.
