    Thank you for clarifying Sarah. Do I have DMX In correctrly in that it uses one console to cue another? And that the slave console shows up as basicly a preset to the master? I'm still not clear on how that works. But I do understand the two espressions merged portion of the lesson. so many channels...

We have one sensor rack (has ethernet plug on front, DMX cable /input isn't accessable at all) We have a ETC Express 24/48 connected to it (has universe 2 still free along with free ethernet plugin) the board is in the booth... far away from the rack fyi).     Unless something major has changed since I moved to Germany 4 years ago….When using CAT5 for DMX the cable must be in metal conduit from point to point. I too have seen installations where it was not and times where there was conduit at the back-box but it dispersed once it reached above the drop...

    Can I simply use the DMX IN / OUT with two consoles and a single data line to control a large plot with a singular cue list? I have used MIDI to connect a Hog 2 (movers) and Obsession (dimmers) but each had a cues list sometimes with dummy cues. There was also a programmer for each desk. I don't...
