  • Unison dimmers that dim despite being config'd not to

Hi All, This is a Unison question, but since there are no other groups under Architectural I'm putting it here. I have a Unison system (version 1.8.02) controlling my house and worklights. This includes the stair halls on both sides of the house. The dimmers for the stair halls are configured in the...

  • Re: A install hand book for onsite electricians

the best way for any install to be completed successfully is to have a tech/projectmanager visit the site or Sales person where poissible who knows the ropes to check up on the progress and make sure the EC knows what is expected before the turn-on technician arrives so there are no suprises, communication...

  • Unison button station diagnostic

I've got a Unison ER with a CME prcessor system here at Symphony Hall in Phoenix. At random times it's switching to a different preset from our performance look. It always goes to the same preset (a tour look with a time out macro). I've verified in light manager that the macro for the performance look...

  • Updates to the Unison Minisite!

We recently completed an update the Unison minisite at www.etcconnect.com/unison . The most exciting change is the removal of the movie of me! ;) Another important change adds interactive features to the riser diagrams found at http://www.etcconnect.com/minisite/unison/products-Paradigm.html and http...

  • Re: Unison Paradigm

We will be performing in a very large room that contains a Unison Dimming System rack. Basically, for this performance, we will not need much in the way of lighting, but the rack is emitting a noise (f#) to be precise. It is very audible and there is no door between the rack and the stage. The ceiling...

  • Re: Questions about Unison dimmers

Hello Steve, I’m assuming you do not currently have any Unison stations connected. (Please verify that the control module type is CMd. This will be noted on the front of the unit.) When you say you have room to ‘patch in’ the chandlers, I assume you have extra dimmer positions in the rack. If this is...

  • Unison Paradigm

It's great that all the usual marketing tactics have hit the streets, but I haven't seen anything on the most important question... Compatibility between old and new?? Will the new Paradigm processor support the old stations? Does the new LightDesigner work with the CMEi ??? -Thanks

  • A little Lagniappe anyone?

I guess everyone is looking for "a little something extra." That is how I first learned the definition of Lagniappe when I moved to New Orleans. As a product manager we always talk about trying to find that "little something extra that thrills the potential customer or owner." These are the things that...

  • Re: unison network

Hello Bill, It depends what you mean by 'live monitoring'. In DR racks there is no feedback from the dimmers - so you will not be able to see things like circuit breaker trips, blown lamps and things like that. However, you can connect a PC running Lightmanager to see the status of levels/zones and presets...
