  • Saving power at the Sensor Racks?

The Physical Plant Manager at our facility thinks that, during "dark" days, we should shut down our 7) 96 racks to save energy by throwing the two main breakers.  I've already told him that the rack fans shut off automatically and the CEMs don't use any power when inactive.  I am correct, yes?
  • Non-Dimmers

The theater I'm at has a sensor rack and a ETC Express 24/48 and I was wondering how to make a few of the dimmers in the rack non-dimmers? Can someone explain how to do that? I think it has something to do with the dimmer profiles. Thanks

  • Re: Sensor 96 and 24 rack

A little more info might be necessary to try and help... Are these install or tour racks? Is the problem happening in both racks at the same time? Is the same power source fed into both racks? How is data fed into the racks? hard-line dmx, network, any daisy chain, or data iso splitters? Is this the...

  • Re: Dimmer Stays Hot... Help?

There are two things to try, assuming this is a Sensor system. Set the dimmer channels to zero using the controls on the CEM facepanel. This will eliminate the possibility of accidentally 'parked' channels or other overrides coming from the control system. If they respond then something is forcing the...

  • Phasing on SP6 packs

    In three phase operation, on an SP6-20 (12x2.4Kw) pack, I know that dimmers 1>4=ØA, 5>8=ØB, 9>12=ØC. So am I correct that on an SP6-50 (6x6Kw) pack, it's dimmers 1>2=ØA, 3>4=ØB, 5>6=ØC ?

  • Re: Combination Relay/Dimmer module

We discussed this over on ControlBooth recently. Whichever module you had, (odd=dimmer, even=relay, or the reverse) you'd inevitably want/need the other, and to stock both types still wouldn't solve all the problems without having more than ever required, and would cause undue complication. Good idea...

  • Sensor TS - Our best idea to date

Today I have guest post by Bryan Palmer- a project manager at ETC. He emailed me a great study of our dimming past and dimming future. See his bright idea here . David
