Mike graduated from The North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Technical Design and Production. In addition to his work at ETC, Mike has designed shows for the Wisconsin Dance Ensemble, First United Methodist Church, Penny Emray Dance, Baxter Dance Company, Wisconsin Childers Theatre and worked as the Assistant Lighting Designer for the Madison Opera for four years. While living in Germany, Mike designed lighting for the first German production of the “Vagina Monologs” as well as two productions of “I, Claudia”. Before going to college, Mike spent four years in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician. While in school he worked as Master Electrician at The Monomoy Theater on Cape Cod and as an Electrics Intern on MGM Grand's EFX. Mike, with his wife Laurel, now live in Holzkirchen Germany where he struggles with the fact that nothing is open on Sunday. Mike started at ETC in 1995 as an intern in the Technical Service department before going on to be a Field Service Engineer, Field Service Manager, and currently, the European Service Manager.
