Hello.

I am a TD/Everything guy at a middle school. We have an Express 24/48 with an Unison Dimmer Rack. The dimmer rack is currently showing an error with an orange light blinking. The lights are working but I do not have dimming control. They are either at 0 or 100, no matter where the dimmer slider is postioned.

Can anyone give me a clue. We do not have the budget for a tech to come out.

Thanks

What's the error?  Have you tried resetting the rack?

Your best bet is probably to call Tech Services.  There is no charge for that... :-)

If the dimmer rack shows a Low Voltage error, then there is a good chance the -V supply has failed, and if I'm not wrong, there is an ECO that covers this.  It WILL need to go back to Tech Services.

Or, so I would think, being that I am not Tech Services nor ETC...

There are a number of possibilities for what could be going on.  Trying to go through them all in a forum conversation could be challenging.

If you can give us a call from in front of the rack, we'll be happy to help troubleshoot your difficulties.  We're here 8-5 Central time on weekdays (and of course, in case of emergency, we also have 24 hour pager support.)
