  • Re: iRFR

Sara, Respectfully...the only people this change effects is the congo users. The Eos/Ion users can't get it either way until you release their new version of the software. However the congo users could be testing and working out bugs for you right now. So I guess what I hear you saying is that it's...

  • Re: Macintosh File Server

All releases of OSX have had a version of SAMBA built into them, so yes. What you may need to do, however, is alter your samba configuration to allow anonymous logins. You can fidn how to do this by googling it. To set an IP address manually, its in Control Panel > Network, i think. I havent had to...

  • Re: ethernet

Claire, What version of ethernet, just out of curiosity? I'm running Net2 all over the place in my installation, and while I'm not lucky enough to have Jrs for backup I'd still be badly stuck if the ethernet gives way. I have a few nodes but I'd lose all data-routing flexibility if I...

  • Wireless Router & iRFR

I am running Congo V5.1 and now have the need to set up a wireless router so that I can use a iRFR on iPhone. Networking isn't my strength but have read some bits on here and my understanding is that if I set the router and iPhone to the static IP addresses as stated in the related Wiki "How...

  • Re: Wireless Router & iRFR

Ok so now I am pretty sure that I would be best to change both my router and my iPhone to the default IP's as discussed in "How to set up your wireless network". The iPhone is straightforward as its well described in the Wiki but I just have a few more specific questions with the router...

  • Re: ethernet

my first question would be how the physical ethernet connectors are hooked up to the router, because it may not be abel to work when going through multiple hubs (simmilar to iTunes song sharing is stopped at the third hub)
