  • Re: Unable to get a solid connection with iPhone/iPad iRFR and iOS 5 update.

If there is an iOS 5 issue, I would be very surprised to find it changes any behavior related to the network routing tables. I hate to disagree with theblackmoon but, for the majority of people using iRFR and aRFR there is no reason to do any configuration on your wireless access point/router or to manually...

  • Re: iRFR for Andriod

Jonathan, You are correct. In 1.9.8, the option has changed to "Allow WiFi remotes" (or something very similar). I've found that in many cases, downloading a simple ping app also does wonders for troubleshooting a connection -- this lets you know if it is something with the network connectivity...

  • Re: What's up with the arfr

Hi Dan, Sorry for the confusion -- this is normal behavior for the test version -- it will disconnect from the console every 10 minutes, requiring you to exit and start it up again, and then after 5 days, the option to connect will be disabled. From the application description on the Android Market:...

  • Re: What's up with the arfr

As you're seeing, there are countless ways to reconfigure these settings to a workable system. There are probably even more ways to accidentally get something wrong with those settings. For the majority of people using iRFR and aRFR there is no reason to do any configuration on your wireless access...

  • Re: iRFR network setup

Pat, a lot of folks have played with different settings on wireless routers and come up with various permutations that can work. (as illustrated by the posts above). If you want the simplest way to configure consumer wireless routers for iRFR and aRFR on a standalone ETC lighting network, try this. It...

  • RFR feature request

Is it possible to add a Part softkey to the Patch screen in the RFR software? I often am patching fixtures with multiple parts that have a remote dimmer (scrollers, VL1ks specifically) on the fly with the iRFR and want to be able to patch the lamp into Part 2. I haven't figured out a good way to...

  • Can not install aRFR

Hi, We've just purchased an android tablet (e-tab 7", android 3.0) aRFR doesn't show up in the market app. When we try and install via the market website, I get "This item is not compatible with your device". The only information I find about this problems suggests the tablet runs...

  • i/a RFR and partitions

Here's the control setup: 2-Rackmount Eos 4ks (primary/backup) 1-Ion (client) Lots of cue lists/partitions for various control scenarios throughout the building (architectural installation). Lots of programming to do, just one Ion to do it. The bulk of the programming is a single architectural feature...

  • aRFR updates...

Hey gang, I do absolutely love the aRFR app for my android, you should have seen the Japanese crews face when I took control of the system from them with my phone. They all went and bought the app immediately. I REALLY would prefer to stay on the same platform, but am considering a shift. In an older...

  • multiple users of irfr / arfr?

Hi, we are a small theatre staffed by volunteers, with an element console. we want to expand into using either irfr / arfr, but wondered the best way to give multiple people access to it. does it need to be downloaded by each individual volunteer if they wanted to use it, or could we maybe set up a 'theatre'...
