I've downloaded both the 1.7 EOS operator's manual and the 1.9.8 supplemental manual from the download section but I can't find any mention in either about the fan function...what it is, how to use it etc. I've seen a number of posts in the forum about it but they're not helpful to someone trying to learn about it. Can anyone direct me to a resource that gives instructions?
thanks
Howdy George,
Fan was added with the Eos v1.8 Update.
So if you look at the end of the v1.9.8 Supplement where v1.8 is discussed,
http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_downloads/manuals/Eos_Family_v1.9.8_Operations_Manual_Supplement_revA.pdf
, you will find starting on the PDF Page 50, the section about FAN.
"Fan provides the ability to spread parameter and timing values in a range across a channel
selection set and have those values be evenly spaced. Fan is applied by channel selection or group
order. By default, fan operation is from the start channel.
Eos has a [Fan] button and on Ion {Fan} is a softkey. When [Fan]/{Fan} is pressed after a channel
selection, the softkeys will repaint to the following fan styles: ....."
We also have a YouTube video which shows the changes that came with the Eos v1.8 Update:

At about 3:35, FAN Function is discussed.
I hope that helps. Have fun programming!
