Does Element not have the auto mark feature like the ION?   In the ION manual it says under Show Settings there would be a key to enable or disable this feature --- there doesn't seem to be a key does anyone know if this console has that feature.

Thanks

Greg

Hi Greg -

Element only has AutoMark (and none of the other marking functions of Eos/Ion). It is enabled by default and can be disabled on a per-cue basis. When recording cues, if you want a live move, use S6 - AutoMark Off - so [RECORD] [CUE] [1] [S6-AutoMark Off] [ENTER]. You can also change this setting after recording cues by typing [CUE] [#] [THRU] [#] {S6-AutoMark Off] [ENTER]. This will toggle the AutoMark state from on to off or vice versa. Make sense?

Thanks much -

On a similar note, is there a way to record discrete timing on Element? I know that by default the "marking" portion of a cue will run in the same amount of time as the cue itself (so if I have a cue with a time of 10 seconds, the cue will run in 10 seconds and the "mark" will run in an additional 10 seconds). Is there a way to have the cue run in 10 seconds but have the "mark" run in say 5 seconds? I'm just thinking if I have a really long blackout cue but need my moving lights to track to their next position rather quickly.

Hi there -

I would do this with a follow cue (instead of automark) to set those channels into their next position. It will be easier for you to program and to get exactly the behavior you're looking for. You could also create a cue part to handle this move if you prefer.

Thanks!

That's what I thought. Thanks Sarah!
