On our current console you can add cues together (either one at a time or over a range) and the console takes the highest level. The command line looks like this - "CUE1 thru 100 at full enter". It takes every channel that is in use in all of those cues and puts them at their highest level**. I use this function EVERY production!! Does the ESO do something along these lines? I have skimmed the manual but can’t seam to find anything? Please help I don’t want to spend my life in spreadsheet trying to seeing what is in use or not!** Because the command line had “full” in it you get the highest level. If you had put in a percentage the levels would be proportional to highest level.
I don't know whether or not the EOS will do this particular function, but it will tell you which channels are (or are not) in use in a range of cues using the query function. Read up on that function in the manual and you should find that it will give you the information you are looking for....
Out of cureosity what desk is it that has this function? Is it a tracking console or a preset console?

I have had a look and cannot find a syntax to do exactly what you are requesting. What is the end result you are looking for? It sounds like you are looking for channels used in a range of cues. If that is the case, Query should do the trick as Jeff suggests. Another option might be to look at the FlexiChannel options, Show Channels in this case. If this is not what you are looking for, please let us know.
Thank You,

try [group] [cue] 1 [thru] 100 [enter] and you get control over the channels with no levels, but at least you know what's used...
tøis oslo nowhere
Easy comment first we have a Strand 550 tracking"Query" works but it will actually tell you a channel is in use if it has a "hard" zero or is being told to go to 0 from a prior cue. "Group Cue" works better it ignores the 0. The problem lies in that neither function give you high levels so a missed preheat will trigger the channel to be considered in use. Since I work in repertory company. Every time we go on tour I have to weight out what systems of lights to bring. If a designer adds a little down light into a cue doesn't necessarily mean I have to put all those lights into the tour plot.
maybe [group] [cue] 1 [thru] 100 [enter] and then [next], [next] (or [last], [last]) with the [about] window open is the easiest way around it ...?
- If you're going on tour with a repertoir play you have to work thru the drawings with an eraser sooner or later... ;-)
It's not as quick as the Strand but I have been printing (PDF to by USB stick) a Utilization Report and then looking through this on my Laptop.
It's don't take to long to flick through your show to check your maximum level. Be careful though because if a channel is only used in an effect this doesn't show up at the moment but it wouldn't on the strand as well.
Hope this helps a little.

If you just want to know what channels are active in the show, hit [flexi] until the label in the upper right hand of your channel screen says "show channels." that is what you are using in your show,
no (-:
... cue 5 is live on stage and i will add the cue 6 to the cue 5 live on stage.
one way:group cue 6 recallfrom cue 6 sneak @ full enter
but here i become all channel there are not in cue 6 as a zero-intensity.
is there a better way without the zeros?
[Recall from][Cue]6{Only Active}[Sneak]5[Enter] may do what you want. This was introduced in v1.9.8.
ooo thats great!!! SUPER!
and now a "HTP"-method? (-:
thanks!
Put both cues on subs?

Thanks for all the comments:
If you use "Group Cue # thru ## @ FULL [ENTER] This will select all the channels that have a level greater then 0% in the range of q's. BUT it will give them to you at FULL (or what ever level you put in after the "@"). My goal is to get them at the highest level used in the range of cues.
