&lt;p&gt;Double hit the effect key. &amp;nbsp;This brings up the effect editor. &amp;nbsp;Define an effect number and specify &amp;quot;step-based&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp;You&amp;#39;ll then see softkeys that allow you to create steps, assign channels, provide fade in/dwell/fade out time, as well as step time, to trigger the next step. &amp;nbsp;Note that the arrow keys can be used to move around within the table, and you can select a number of steps to modify the behavior at the same time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When the effect has been created, to apply from live, just say &amp;quot;recall from&amp;quot; effect n enter. &amp;nbsp;The effect will run until:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It times out (based on the duration applied in the effect itself).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You provide those channels another value or&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You stop the effect - easiest done from Ion by [Effect] [n] [at] [Enter]&lt;/p&gt;
