I managed to find a v1.6 manual so hopefully that should work. Otherwise I think the place I'm at does have a copy, it's just that no one has found it :)

Re: Console not acting as manuals says it should

You have a Manual/Console version mismatch - you've got the v2.0 manual and a console running v1.7.1 or older.

Recording directly onto the Stack (rather than via a Memory Fader) was added in v2.0.0, so you'll need to upgrade to this version for this functionality.

To update the firmware, go to the SmartFade downloads page and download the SmartFade v2.0.0 Release Note and the SmartSoft v2.0.0 Software for PC

(Or the Mac version instead if you have a Mac)

The release note explains how to do the upgrade - you can either use a PC and do it over USB, or put the update file onto an SD Card.

I'm trying to program a stack. I used the software and read the manual to about different methods. I tried them (one of which is: build the look, press REC MEM, press STACK (should start to blink) and save it) but the console doesn't really do what the virtual console and manual say. Stack is not blinking and the display reads out different information.

I'm trying to figure this out as I have to program a show but I'm lost and still reading through the manual. Any tips? Thanks.
