We have a coemar prospot lx that has 16 dmx channels.  I figured out how to patch the light in and how to control the properties of the light but the only way that I can turn the lamp on in the light is to tell the element to bring up address 16 at full.  Is that how you are supposed to do that or am I supposed to just change the options in the light itself to keep the lamp on when it is plugged in?  can someone give me some pointers?  We are currently using a demo element 60-500 and plan on purchasing that board.

Thanks,

Allen

Select the channel and hit [About] - there will be an onscreen softkey labelled "Lamp Controls" - click that, and you'll have all the commands the device supports onscreen, which usually includes Strike, Douse and Reset.

I believe that {Lamp Controls} is also under [More SoftKeys] on the Element, but I've not got one here to confirm.

Keep on trying till you run out of cake.

thanks for the info.  I will have to test it on the real console tomorrow but it worked in the offline client right now.
