Dearest ETC Tech Support,

So I have my ion board set up in primary as master and I have the client software installed on my laptop.  In network settings int he client it recognizes the Ion and allows me to change host, but it stops there. It gets stuck while connecting to host, the Ion, and when it times out or I stop it then host is stricken out in red under available hosts.

Any solution? (I'm running 1.8 on the ion and the client)

Thanks, Mike Auchter

Try a different network cable and/or switch. Also try directly connecting to the console (with a crossover cable if you don't have an auto switching port) and then try.

You may want to double check on your client computer, that you have you firewall turned off (or an exception created) and that any anti virus you are running is turned off as well.  This can cause issues connecting/transferring information to and from the console.
