I discovered that parked addresses can be unparked from the live command line by simply typing {Address} # [at] [Enter]. I thought that {Address} # [Park] [Enter] was necessary from Live. Is this by design?

Well, since addresses automatically reset when 'address' is removed from the command line ... unless they are parked, the ONLY thing this command would be capable of is unparking a parked address.  Is this bothersome?  We could disable the syntax?

Hi Anne,

I came across a problem with the way it works currently. I use a macro to park on various channels and dimmers when I start up the console. The last part of my macro parks on addresses. Until I added a [Clear] at the end of the macro the [Adresses] at [Full] [Park] would be left on the comand line. Numerous times the addresses would be unparked by subsequent keystrokes that were not [Address] [Park] [Enter]. I can't recall the exact keystrokes but it seems that if [Address] at some level [Park][Enter] is left on the command line, then the addresses are vulnerable to being accidentaly unparked. I expected unparking to be a more willful action than this.

Thanks,

Tim

Tim,

could you post what the syntax is of the macro is that you're using?

I discovered how the address was getting unparked. When "Address 149 Full Park [Enter]" is left on the command line, the next button was accidentally hit by laying some papers on the board! Another reason to obsessively clear the command line.
