Unfortunately you haven't given us much information in this post, so we'll need to ask you quite a few questions.

Does this error happen often, or have you only seen this once?
We'd like to know what software version you are using, whether this error occurred on an Element console or Element Offline, and what you were doing or trying to do when the desk showed this error, and what things are on your network.

If this happened while trying to run Element Offline, we'd also like to know which operating system you have (Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS X etc).

The more information you can provide, the faster we can find a solution to prevent it happening again.

Hi tangxiaotu,

This is likely a known issue that has been fixed in 1.7, so I would recommend upgrading at your convenience.  You can download the latest software from the etcconnect website here:

If this is indeed the defect your are experiencing, the problem is that some network configuration files can become out of date when you change your IP address.  If you are unable to upgrade to 1.7, the workaround is to run GCE once and then reboot.  You can find GCE in the shell under Settings>Maintenance.  Running GCE will correctly restore the network configuration files.
