Version 1.8 software is now available for Element consoles. This version includes support for connection of Net3 RVI units and client PCs to an Element for remote video. Element supports only Mirror Mode operation of those clients, which means the displays of the Element console will be displayed on the client, however there is no interactivity with the show file from the client. You see what the operator sees.
Version 1.8 also includes fan functions and FDX dimmer feedback.

Yes, you'll want to do the update at some point as your console will have shipped with version 1.7.
However, you can wait until a suitable gap in your schedule - we generally don't recommend updating software in the middle of a run unless the new version is to fix a specific problem you've run into.
Keep on trying till you run out of cake.
