When the Mac 250 entour gobo speed is selected the gobo starts rotating at full even thou the speed adjustment wheel is at 0. If the wheel is rolled to -2 the rotation reverses but it is at full.  This couldn't be very good for the motor,  full one direction to full other direction. Should'n the speed be off at 0 and full at 100.   This is the fixture I have so I am not sure if this is a problem with other fixtures.  Thanks for looking into this for me.

Hi T,

I can't speak to the Mac 250 specifically, but I know that on the Mac 500's as well as Mac 2000's, the Gobo Wheel Index/Rotate speed is controlled clockwise slow to fast, and then counter clockwise fast to slow as you dial the DMX from a low value to a higher value.

I see your concern about the motor, but as this is how it was built by Martin, i wouldn't worry too much about it.

HTH,
